Spring will be here before you know it! Everyone should start buying your shoes now, because most store will be having storewide winter clearance sales. Here are some shoes you should look for:

• Bright, lively colors, such as orange, red, and hot pink
• Metallics and browns are also back in season
• Gladiators are back, but choose ones that are knee high for this season
• Florals will be huge
• Peep toes are amazing for spring!
• Platforms

When I was a sophomore in college, my favorite pair of shoes were a pair of black stilettos with streaks of hot pink. 

Its five a.m. do you know where your shoes are?

Well, as a busy college girl I could not think about shoes in the first two minutes.  That morning was hectic.  I opened one eye and then the other, dragged myself out of bed.  I told myself that I am not a dirty woman.  I am young and need to take a shower before going to work.  

Then, of course, came a choice of shoes of the day.  As every woman knows, shoes were the most important part of an outfit.  Thus, I placed a nice boot with a heel and fur on my foot.  I looked in the mirror and thought to myself that it was a day for a more seductive outfit.  I found my long “perfect for the skirt” boots and tried them on. 

Great, I thought to myself before running to pour an urgent cup of coffee since the pot was overflowing on the stove.  I did not want it to catch fire just yet. 

Proud of accomplishing my daily routine I arrived to college.  While entering the building I encountered a TA.  Then, I encountered a smiling professor, who took a long look at me upside down.  Did they have something heavy to drink?

 Throughout the day, I could not understand my classmates.  Some giggled in the background while others hid behind doors.  At four p.m., after encountering another weird look I got unnerved and asked, what seemed to be the problem?  TA did not respond. She looked down with a smile and said, “I am sorry, it happened to me once too.” 

 Then, I looked down and saw on one foot my beautiful shoe from Macy’s and on the other, the seductive pair from Sears.

For those cold rainy and snowy winter days, everyone needs a great pair of waterproof shoes. Here are my suggestions:

1. Rain boots – These are really cute for school or just walking around in the daytime. Be careful not to wear them for too long; your feet can really hurt!

2. Leather boots – These can be cute for anytime, just make sure they are waterproof!

3. Hunter boots – These are like a mix between rain boots and leather boots. These are mostly for the daytime when colorful boots don’t really match your outfit.

What else can satisfy your shoe addiction but music about shoes? Here are some of my favorites:

Winter is here, and everyone needs the perfect shoes for every occasions this season. Here are some tips for the upcoming winter season:

• Choose black, midnight blue, dark green, violet, and deep red shoes over other colors.
• High heeled stilettos (about 6 inches) with a squared heel are very in this season.
• The must have boots are ankle boots and over-the-knee boots.
• Motorcycle boots are very chic for winter.
• Keep details (rhinestones, flowers, fringes) on shoes to a minimum.
• Leather, suede, drap, silk, or lace are preffered materials.
• Platform or wedged strapless shoes are also very in.
• Mary Janes are always very classy.

The most important thing is to have fun with whatever style you may choose!

If any of you own a pair of Uggs, you have probably encountered those pesky salt stains from rain or snow.  Some stores sell a special Ugg boot cleaner, but constantly buying that can get pricy.

Here are some steps you can take to clean your Ugg boots at home:

1. Take a soft cloth and run it over some water.
2. Lightly wet your Ugg boots where you have the stain.
3. Take a leather cleaning product, and dilute it with water.
4. Take a sponge and dip it into the solution, and lightly press it on to your Ugg boots.
5. Wait 5 minutes, then use a soft cloth to wipe the solution away from the boots.
6. Dry them with paper towel, and leave them to dry over night.
7. The next day, brush them over with a towel and they will be as good as new!

Cleaning your Uggs should become routine, and they will always look good as new!
